Hello, Freshman Year.

I am now officially registered at my high school. Go, Eagles. How’s that for school spirit? :P It’s going to be an easy year, with the classes that I chose. Hehe. But, hey, they’re as advanced as they’ll let me go as a Freshman. ;) In period order:

Advanced Geometry, Digital Input Technology (Keyboarding. I already type perfectly well, but whatever. It’s a prerequisite for law classes, meaning I have to take it. -.-), Honors World History/Geography, Latin I (French was full…-.-), Honors English 9, Honors Earth Science (supposed to be Advanced Chemistry…-.-), Health/PE 9. And of course, every other class is on the second floor, so all day I have to go up, down, up, down. That will just be oodles of fun – hours of entertainment for everyone else. I bet I fall flat on my face at least twice in the first week…anyone else have a guess? :P

Anyway, after I finally got my schedule figured out, they tell me that I don’t get a locker until school starts. Fine. I think, okay, I can wait for the first day. What do I need it for right now, anyway? Noooo. I might get my locker assignment on the first day. Hopefully, I will have a locker by the end of the first week. HUH?!?!? Where am I supposed to put all of my crap until then?!? -.-

Whoa, looking at my schedule again, we have a winner. Guess what my English teacher’s name is? P. Diamantopoulo. The first day of school will be greeat. I bet she tells us to call her Ms. D. Lol.

Hm…-thinking of the bright side-…Well, the cafeteria is huge. That’s a plus, right? :)

I think that my rant is over…If it’s not, I’ll just post the rest later. Teehee. :P

What’s Done Is Done

I finally did what had to be done – I frogged the Fringed Wrap. I just hated that thing with a passion, and knew that I would never wear it because of it’s oogliness, so it went bye-bye. After I finished ripping out three balls’ worth of yarn, I wound them up into two, and then swatched for a Denim Cap. My gauge was perfect (great, because I don’t know how to make it bigger/smaller. xD) so I hope that I will still like that pattern by the time I finish my Monkeys.

Speaking of my Monkeys, they have been neglected lately. =( I started them while I was in the hotel (waiting for the house to close) and worked on them day after day, finished the first after two, then I started the other sock. So far, I have screwed up twice. -nod- When we closed on the house, it started to become lonesome.

First off, we got a new kitty. He is my brother’s (I get mine later – I am very allergic.) and his name is Tom. He is mostly black, with a white belly & chin, and white “boots” on his paws. A cutie. He is very wild and energetic, especially at about 3 A.M. So, he’s a handful. I have also been trying to unpack my room for the past several days; it really shouldn’t take this long. Hopefully I will be completely moved in today or tomorrow. Now, if only I could find my bed hardware…

School starts on Tuesday. =(

255 words. Booyah! =P

EDIT: Found my bed hardware. Will I be sleeping on more than a matress tonight? Hm… (273 words. :P)

FO: Breezy Wrap

Yep, it’s finished. It’s been finished. Lol. I finally got a chance to take some pictures, and I hope that they look okay. This was a really fun project, and I loved every minute of it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone out there who crochets!

Once it was finished, I immediately started another crocheted project; the Off the Hook Cardigan from Total Crochet Fashions. It is coming out wonderfully, especially because my crocheting is kind of rusty. The last time I crocheted was in the fifth grade. O.O

Hmm…now that I look at it, the picture isn’t that great. But oh well. Who cares, right? :)

Now some piccies of my cardigan…

I hope you enjoy these!!!

Chocolate Brown

Mmm…Chocolate sounds good right now. I get this huge craving when I am working on my newest project, the Off the Hook Cardigan from Total Crochet Fashions. The yarn is Caron Simply Soft in Chocolate. It looks good enough to eat!! I really hope that this turns out okay, because it is really pretty! Today I finished crocheting the first part of the neck edge. I have to wait until tomorrow to start again, because the pattern says, “Leave yarn attached to work body. With RS facing and new ball of yarn…” So, since I didn’t really have any plans for this yarn, I only bought one. But that’s okay; I need a break.

In other crocheting news, I have finished the Breezy Wrap! It is hanging in my mother’s closet right now. She says that she loves it. I don’t usually like anything that I make (it’s a weird thing…I don’t like myself much…lol.) but I have to admit, it is quite lovely. But with the move and everything, she hasn’t really had time to take pictures of it for me. I want her to take pictures of my FOs from now on, so they can look at least half-way decent. In case you haven’t noticed yet, I am a horrible photographer.

In the knitting department, my Shifting Sands scarf is coming along splendidly. It is about 55% finished, and I am breaking into a new ball of yarn tonight. Maybe I’ll get it while I am settling down to watch Camp Rock again. =]

Well, that will be all for tonight. Hopefully I will have some decent shots of the Cardigan and the Wrap next time; photos of the scarf really aren’t necessary, as it only gets longer…not very interesting!

SuperChic[k]!

Me wearing the Breezy Wrap

Me wearing the Breezy Wrap

Has anyone ever heard of a band named SuperChic[k]? If you haven’t, I’d definitely recommend checking them out. We just got their newest cd, “Rock What You Got”, and it’s awesome ^^ My favorite songs right now are “Hold”, “Alive”, and “Cross the Line”. They are one of the best Christian bands that I listen to. =]

I’m so close to finishing my wrap, I can’t stand the thought of being away from it! I will hopefully be able to finish it by this weekend! *crosses fingers* My mom was home today when I wanted to take some new pictures of it, so I asked her to take them for me! She used to be a professional photographet, so I am glad that she promised to take even better pictures for the final product. =] Yes, that is me holding it and wearing it. I wasn’t exactly dressed for modeling it. Lol. I’ll do better when it’s done ;]

Yup, that is the yarn hanging down from the left side of it. Hehe =] That is my favorite outfit there, my brown flowy shirt (I love how loose it is) and the lace detailing at the neckline is gorgeous! Of course, I have the powder blue tank top underneath for modesty ;] And those jeans are the best! =D

I’m oh so lazzzzyyy…

I am so lazy, it’s not even funny. Well, I think it is. Lol. ANYway, WordPress is still being mean to me, so I’ll just have to post the full gallery…

There are a few pictures of the contents of the package I received today – two balls of KnitPicks.com Palette Sock Yarn in the color Tidepool Heather. I luv it ^_^ There are also some pics of my Shifting Sands Scarf and my Breezy Wrap. Oh, I also got 3 more balls of each type of yarn that I needed (Peaches & Creme and Crochet Thread) so I can get back to work on those, too! Yay! I feel so happy right now :)

Okay, so I have secretly been trying to bust my stash and I have been working on one of the coolest, easiest knits ever – the Shifting Sands Scarf by Grumperina. I love love love love love this pattern, and it is soo simply easy and FUN! But, alas, I am out of yarn. That always seems to be my problem, doesn’t it? :) But I also like the yarn – Peaches & Creme in Earth Tones. Very nice. And of course, WordPress is being a butt and I can’t add pictures. I can, but I can only insert all of my photos at once. I’d like to be able to have a picture of one project, a little description, another picture, etc…

My other project that is going oh-so-well is my Breezy Wrap – which I have already shown several pictures of in previous posts. But, yet again, I am out of yarn. Hehe. I really need to stop buying balls of yarn one at a time, hm? :)

Oh I am so excited because on the 2nd I put in an order for some sock yarn from KnitPicks.com, and the 8th I got an email saying that they have processed and shipped the order! Yay! :) I hope it comes in tomorrow, since…well, I dunno. I just want it to hurry up and be here ^_^

Outline

The title was inspired by a piece of paper sitting on my desk. It says “Outline”. LOL. It is the outline of a magazine article that I am writing for, well, a magazine. Hehe. It’s an online magazine that has not yet been released, but I have already submitted an article and it has been accepted. Blah blah blah…Outline.

Um…I finished my dad’s first sock, and what a bore it was! It almost killed me to do the last two toe decrease repeats, and then graft the toe closed. Then I went into my dad’s room, where he was watching a movie with my mom and brother, and I threw the sock at him. Hehe! He said, “uh, gee thanks. where’s the other one?” So I said, “that’s all you’re gettin’, pops!” Lol. I’m so bad.

Well, I cast on the second sock last night and finished…er…one round of it. :) I’m so proud.

Let’s see, what else is there to say? Hm…Well, this week I need to (at least!) start my book proposal for, well, the book that I’m writing. I’ve outlined the first four chapters of it so far. I need to re-write the two sample chapters that I completed, because they no longer fit the “bigger picture” that I have for this book. I know what you’re thinking: I’m too young to write a book. Bull crap. I have been bored out of my mind in writing classes, because I’ve already done it all. I’ve been published before, and I can do it again. My Gifted & Talented teachers fully support me, and two years ago I was asked to write a movie script for them. So, I did. I was praised for it, blah blah blah, and they made it into a student film. Whoop-de-doo.

Yeah, it’s safe now. My rant is over. :)

Kiss the girl

Went out and bought two more spools of crochet thread, and progressed with the wrap. I used most of the third spool today, and I’m sure I’ll use the rest of it tonight and break into the fourth. It’s coming along quite well, actually!

When this is finished, I will definitely go back to finishing up my dad’s monkeys and the candy stripe sweater. When I finish those, I am probably going to frog my “tote sweet” bag, and finish up the fringe wrap. Then I will start two more projects, and two only. I need to start managing my WIPs a little bit better. Having 4-5 projects going at once isn’t really working out. ;)

Well, I guess that’ll be all for today. Peace out!

Oh Snaps.

It’s time to confess. One shopping trip and two spools of crochet thread later…I have half a wrap. Hehe. I literally could not put my hook down while crocheting it! But now I have to, because I’m out of thread. Such a sad thought. :( I need to get out and buy some ASAP. But for now, have some pictures:

I threw a few close-ups of the intricate lace details in there as well ;)
